This weekend, the pinnacle of the Kilkenny adult hurling calendar throws-in at 2:30pm when current Senior Champions, O’Loughlin Gaels take on last year’s Intermediate Champions, Thomastown in the St Canice’s Credit Union Senior Hurling County Final. It promises to be a closely-contested affair as O’Loughlin Gaels look to win back-to-back titles and Thomastown aim to win their second senior title (they won their first senior title in 1946).
The game will be live on ClubberTV and KCLR with updates on Community Radio Kilkenny City.
It will be preceded by the Kilkenny Vehicle Centre Minor Roinn A Shield Final between St Martin’s and Dunnamaggin at 12:30pm.
During the half time break, the Kilkenny All-Ireland Senior Hurling Champions of 1974 and 1975 will be honoured and Kilkenny GAA and Lyrath Estate Hotel look forward to welcoming them as their guests at the County Final.
