The Kilkenny GAA Na Cait Óga Academy was officially launched last Tuesday evening at Hotel Kilkenny, drawing a fantastic turnout from players, their parents/guardians, Academy coaches, and representatives from our Academy sponsor, CluneTech.
The evening kicked off with Michael Fennelly, Performance Lead, who provided an insightful overview of the upcoming season to the approx. 500 attendees. He outlined the extensive supports in place for players, parents/guardians and coaches, setting an exciting tone for the year ahead.
A number of speakers contributed to the evening, including:
- PJ Kenny, Kilkenny County Board Chairman
- Johnny McCarthy, Facilities Manager at CluneTech
- Dr. Leighann Ryan, Performance Research Project Lead
- Shane Noonan, Performance & Lifestyle Coach
- Sean Kelly, Athletic Development Lead
Their contributions offered valuable perspectives on player development, performance enhancement, and the holistic support structures integral to the Academy’s success.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of the evening, from the organisers to the speakers and attendees. Here’s to a fantastic season ahead with Na Cait Óga!
