Michael Fennelly has informed Kilkenny County Board that he will step away from his role as Performance Lead on conclusion of his contract later this year due to personal commitments.
Over the course of the past two years, Michael has led the development and renewal of Na Cait Óga and the systems and supports surrounding our development squads. He has been central in driving player development, coaching, coach education and stakeholder engagement.
PJ Kenny, County Chairman, in acknowledging Michael’s significant contribution adds: “Michael Fennelly has led the transformation of our academy structures with the launch of Na Cait Óga. His leadership across the domains of player, coach and stakeholder engagement is noteworthy and places us in a great position to continually enhance our development activity. I would like to thank Michael for his dedication and work in this area and wish him well in his future endeavours.”
The process to put in place a replacement has commenced with advertisement due in the coming weeks.
