The JJ Kavanagh Junior Hurling Championship Semifinals and the St Canice’s Credit Union Senior Hurling Championship Semifinals took place in UPMC Nowlan Park last Saturday and Sunday respectively.
On Saturday, O’Loughlin Gaels overcame St Patrick’s in the first of the Junior semifinals on a 1-21 to 2-14 scoreline, booking their place in the final. In the second of the semifinals, Barrow Rangers and Galmoy needed extra time to separate the sides and Barrow Rangers came out on top 3-22 to 0-27. The Junior County Final will take place in UPMC Nowlan Park on Saturday 25th October.

On Sunday, in the first of the senior semifinals, last year’s finalists, O’Loughlin Gaels, overcame Mullinavat 1-20 to 2-16 securing a spot in the final. In the second of the semifinals which went down to the wire, Shamrocks Ballyhale edged out Dicksboro on a 0-21 to 1-16 scoreline. The Senior County Final will take place in UPMC Nowlan Park on Sunday 26th October.
