Ending a 35 year wait, Barrow Rangers will join the Intermediate ranks in 2026 following a nail-biting victory over O’Loughlin Gaels in the JJ Kavanagh Junior County Final last Saturday.
The Paulstown side had a four point lead at the half-time break and a goal in the opening seconds of the second half was the dream start for the eventual winners but O’Loughlin Gaels fought back and the sides traded scores in the closing minutes to force the game to extra time.
Barrow Rangers had that edge in extra time and took the spoils with a two-point margin – finishing 2-22 to 3-15 winners.
