Kilkenny battled hard last Sunday in UPMC Nowlan Park in the fifth round of the Allianz Hurling League but came up short against a determined Cork side.
Despite a late comeback and a well-struck goal from Eoin Cody, Cork held firm to claim victory on a 3-12 to 1-15 scoreline.
