Following an exciting opening weekend of local club action, the 2026 leagues continue this weekend with another action-packed schedule across the county.
The spotlight falls on the opening round of the St Canice’s Credit Union Senior Hurling League, while Round 2 of both the Michael Lyng Motors Hyundai Intermediate Hurling League and the JJ Kavanagh Premier Junior Hurling League also take centre stage.
Supporters can look forward to another fantastic weekend of hurling as clubs continue their quest for league honours.
A weekend programme, featuring fixtures for all 12 league games , will also be available at all venues for just €2.

- Adults: €10
- Students: €5 (on production of valid Student Card)
- Pensioners: Free (on production of a valid Travel Pass Card)
- U-16s: Free
- Club+ Season Ticket Holders: Free (on presentation of a printout or screenshot confirming your Club+ season ticket)
Following a motion from a number of clubs at last year’s County Convention, the admission fee for adult league games has increased from €5 to €10.
The previous admission charge of €5 had remained unchanged since the introduction of the euro in 2002, having previously been £5 before the changeover. During that time, the costs associated with hosting games and maintaining club facilities have increased significantly.
Importantly, all gate receipts from league fixtures are retained by the participating clubs. The new admission fee will provide clubs with additional income to help meet the ongoing costs of running and developing their facilities, supporting teams and volunteers, and investing back into their local communities.
