The race for league honours is beginning to take shape following another busy weekend of club action across the county.
In the Michael Lyng Motors Hyundai Intermediate Hurling League, Mooncoin, Dunnamaggin and Rower-Inistioge share top spot in Group A on three points after each recorded a win and a draw from their opening two games. In Group B, James Stephens and Lisdowney have made perfect starts with two wins from two.
The JJ Kavanagh Junior Hurling League also completed its second round of fixtures, with John Lockes and Piltown maintaining 100% records to lead Group A, while Emeralds and St Patrick’s sit top of Group B after two impressive victories.
Meanwhile, the St Canice’s Credit Union Senior Hurling League got underway with an exciting opening round. Thomastown, Graigue-Ballycallan and Tullaroan all opened with victories in Group A, while O’Loughlin Gaels and Shamrocks Ballyhale lead the way in Group B following opening-round wins. Glenmore and Mullinavat shared the points in a game where they couldn’t be separated.
