The race for county honours moved another step closer to the finish line this weekend, with the latest rounds of the St Canice’s Credit Union Senior Hurling Championship and JJ Kavanagh Premier Junior Hurling Championship completed, while Blacks & Whites secured their Intermediate status for 2027 with victory in the Michael Lyng Motors Hyundai Intermediate Hurling Relegation Final.
In the St Canice’s Credit Union Senior Hurling Championship, Bennettsbridge overcame Graigue Ballycallan to book their place in the last four, while Thomastown advanced following victory over Clara. Tullaroan defeated O’Loughlin Gaels and Shamrocks Ballyhale got the better of Glenmore to complete the semi-final line-up.
Following Sunday evening’s draw in UPMC Nowlan Park, the Senior semifinals will be:
Thomastown v Shamrocks Ballyhale
Bennettsbridge v Tullaroan
With a place in the County Final at stake, both semi-finals promise another big weekend of senior championship action.
In the JJ Kavanagh Premier Junior Hurling Championship, Conahy Shamrocks defeated Piltown, Graignamanagh overcame Emeralds and John Lockes recorded victory over St Patrick’s to progress.
