Kavanagh & Sons County Roinn A Under 21 final on Sunday afternoon in Nowlan Park.Erin’s Own got off to a great start going ahead by 1-1 after just 5 minutes into the game.However Mooncoin enjoyed the better of exchanges for the balance of the half while holding the ‘Comer men scoreless and were well worth their interval lead of 6 points – Mooncoin 1-7 to Erin’s Own 1-1. Erin’s Own came back into the game in what was a most exciting second half and a second goal for the northern champions reduced the deficit to the minimum but Mooncoin responded well to the pressure to win the title they last held in 1983.
