At a special event in Nowlan Park, Kilkenny, Glanbia under its Avonmore Milk brand launched its 2011 sponsorship of the Kilkenny county hurling teams. The company who have been Kilkenny’s sponsors for over a decade will once again sponsor Senior, Minor, U21 and Intermediate county teams. As in previous years the sponsorship is performance based and also includes a players holiday bonus.
Representing the sponsors at the launch were Glanbia HR Director – Brian Phelan, Joe Collum – Glanbia Consumer Products Marketing Director and Kieran O Connor – Glanbia Communications & Sponsorship Manager. Attending the launch from Kilkenny GAA were Manager – Brian Cody, senior players – Jackie Tyrell, Tommy Walsh, John Dalton andMichael Rice.
Also present were Kilkenny County Board officers Chairman – Paul Kinsella, Secretary – Ned Quinn Treasurer- Barry Hickey and PRO – Conor Denieffe
