The Shamrocks GAA Club recently held a Medal Presentation evening with a B.B.Q. in ANDY’s, Ballyhale
where the guests were the County Football Chairman, Tom Brennan and the County Board Chairman,
Ned Quinn. Mr. Brennan presented the 2012 Junior football championship & 2013 Intermediate
football league medals. Mr Quinn presented the 2011 Hurling League and 2012 Hurling
Championship medals.
The Club’s 2012 Senior All Ireland winners, Henry Shefflin, Colin Fennelly, T. J. Reid & Michael Fennelly
were also given a presentation from the club. The two Chairmen then made a presentation to Henry
Shefflin to acknowledge his achievement of winning a record third Hurler of the Year award in 2012.
Mr. Quinn also presented a bouquet of flowers (on behalf of the club) to committee member, Joan
Fowler to acknowledge her continued work and dedication to the club.
The Club would like to thank Andy O’ O’Keeffe for his assistance and the use of his premises and all
the club members who assisted in any way to make the evening a great success.
