Emeralds and Rower Inistioge in Enthralling Intermediate Final

By Mary Morgan Wed 16th Oct

Emeralds and the Rower Inistioge will both try to bridge the gap to the senior ranks in the Michael Lyng Motors Intermediate Final in Nowlan Park on Sunday. The Rower have been the form team of the year in this grade winning 4 out of 5 of their league matches, their only defeat coming in their very first game when Mullinavat had a narrow 2 point victory. Emeralds, on the other hand, finished up in the bottom two in the same group but steered clear of relegation with a win over Young Irelands in the first round of the championship – and they haven’t looked back since. The Rower Inistioge will be most people’s favourites coming into this game but a Derek Lyng/Aidan Fogarty inspired Emeralds side will have nothing to fear and are sure to give it everything to bring the title to the north of the county. Throw in is at 3.30.
