Tipperary claimed the two points on offer in a cold and wet FBD Semple Stadium on Sunday in the second round of the Allianz NHL. It was a game that was slow to settle down and one in which Kilkenny had to work hard in a number of areas of the game to keep a tabs on the Tipperary lead. Kilkenny did well to ensure that it was all square with the game at the death but it was a last minute placed ball point which gave Tipperary the 1-19 to 1-18 victory. Next up for Kilkenny will be the visit of Laois to UPMC Nowlan Park in two weeks time.
