Thomastown, Young Irelands & Emeralds victorious in Feile Finals after some cracking football on display

Division 1 Final

Dicksboro 2;05 v 2:07 Thomastown AET

In a fantastic final, which finished off a very good day of football, Thomastown beat City side Dicksboro.

The game started very evenly with Thomastown leading by a goal at half-time. Dicksboro came back to level the game and force extra time. Thomastown scored two more points in extra time to seal the victory to the delight of the huge group of supporters in attendance.

Division 1 Semi Finals

O’ Loughlin Gaels 0:02 v 2:04 Thomastown

James Stephens 1:05 v 2:03 Dicksboro

 

Division 2 Final

Young Irelands 5:06 v 0:01 St Martins

A very strong Young Irelands outfit finished the day as Division 2 Champions after a convincing victory over St Martins in the final. St Martins had two tough encounters on route to the final with a quarter final victory over Mooncoin after extra time and a semi final victory over Graignamanagh in the semi final after extra time. Young Irelands had a very convincing win over Danesfort in the semi final too and overall were very worthy winners of the Division 2 Final.

Division 3 Final

Emeralds 1:05 v 2:01 St Patricks

In the North Kilkenny clash of the Division 3 Final, the Emeralds emerged as victors in what can only be described as a cracker of a final. The Emeralds raced to a 4 point lead at half-time only for St Patricks to reel them back in a brilliant second half battle. The Champions holding out for a one point win and a well celebrated victory.

Bennettsbridge 0:03 v 0:08 Emeralds

 

A massive thanks to all the Clubs who participated. Thanks to the players’s, mentors and parents on the great efforts to make this day a success.
