Kilkenny have a claimed a spot in the Leinster final on June 4th despite a final round loss to Wexford in UPMC Nowlan Park on Saturday evening. Despite a bright start in the opening ten minutes the home side struggled for scores and at half time trailed Wexford by three points. It was tit for tat in the second half with and the difference between the teams was 1-22 to 1-18 at full time.
The Leinster final will take place in Croke Park on June 4th at 7pm against Galway, meanwhile owing to their third place finish Wexford will move on the the All-Ireland series.
