Kilkenny came up just short in the much anticipated All-Ireland Hurling final on Sunday with Limerick running out 2-26 to 1-31 winners. Limerick’s first half performance was greatly aided by an early goal, that score proved crucial as Kilkenny found it hard to narrow the gap below three points. When they did draw level on 61 min, another limerick brace meant Liam McCarthy was poised to remain Shannonside.
