Following a bumper weekend of action the pairings for the Senior, Intermediate and Junior county finals are now known. In the St Canices Credit Union Senior county final James Stephens will face Shamrocks Ballyhale on Sunday next at 2.30pm. Shamrocks overcame a gallant Tullaroan in UMPC Nowlan Park on Saturday to secure their spot in the decider. The Senior county final will be televised live on TG4 and will be preceded by the U-19 ‘C’ final between Tullaroan and St Martin’s. Full ticket and event details to follow. In the Michael Lyng Motors Intermediate Final Danesfort and Thomastown will face off in the final on Sunday Oct 23rd.
Windgap and Blacks and Whites have secured their spots in the JJ Kavanagh & Sons Junior county final following respective wins over Dicksboro and Piltown over the weekend. Windgap and Dicksboro had to be separated by penalties in the end, while Black and Whites secured their win in the dying minutes with a quick fire 1-1. This final will also be played on Oct 23rd and will precede the Intermediate final.
