Kilkenny GAA is delighted to welcome Kilmacud Crokes to UPMC Nowlan Park tomorrow, Sunday 12th March, for the Allianz NHL clash between Kilkenny and Dublin. See message below from Kilmacud Crokes.
Kilmacud GAA Club from Stillorgan, Co. Dublin, have a tradition of following the Dublin Senior Hurlers, and their club members on the Dublin panel, to an away match in the Allianz League, whilst fostering relations with clubs in the county the game is taking place in, by playing friendly matches or blitzes hosted by those clubs. It is a great way for our young players to play some of the top clubs in the country, whilst promoting the game of Hurling and supporting the Dubs.
On Sunday 12th March, Kilkenny host Dublin in the League, and approx. 1,000 girls, boys, coaches and parents will travel to Kilkenny on what has been affectionately named as #CrokesOnTour.
We will play camogie and hurling from U8 to U12 level across 7 enthusiastic clubs (Dicksboro, James Stephen’s, O’Loughlin’s, Clara, Tullaroan, Graigue-Ballycallan and Freshford) in the morning before descending upon Nowlan Park for the all important league tie between Kilkenny and Dublin.
We are all looking forward to the trip and are really appreciative of the hospitality being afforded to us by our Kilkenny hosts.
