Senior, Intermediate, Junior Finalists almost decided

St Canice’s Credit Union Senior Hurling Final

Bennettsbridge have claimed the first spot in the 2018 senior final thanks to a five point win over Clara in Nowlan Park on Sunday.   The second berth will be filled on Sunday next (Oct 21st) when Erin’s Own fresh from their win over James Stephens on Saturday face Ballyhale Shamrocks, that game has a throw-in time of 3-45pm in Nowlan Park.   The senior final will be played on Sunday Oct 28th at 3pm.

Michael Lyng Motors Hyundai Intermediate Hurling Final

Graigue-Ballycallan and their near neighbours Tullaroan will face off in the intermediate final which is also fixed for Nowlan Park on Oct 28th, throw-in time 1pm.   Graigue-Ballycallan overcame Tullogher Rosbercon on Saturday in Nowlan Park by three points, the scoreboard reading 0-14 to 0-11 at the full time whistle.   Sunday saw Tullaroan overcome St Lachtain’s, in a game that ebbed and flowed for long periods, Tullaroan eventually did enough to claim the second intermediate spot despite conceding a penatly in the final quarter which St Lachtain’s couldn’t capitalise on.   

JJ Kavanagh & Sons Junior Final

Piltown and Dunnamaggin will contest the junior final on Sunday next at 1-45pm in Nowlan Park.   Both teams will be pulling out all the stops between now and next Sunday to secure the right the play in the Intermediate grade next year.
