Following all this weekends action, the battle for the Junior, Intermediate and Senior titles is alot clearer. In the St Canice’s Credit Union Senior Championship O’Loughlin Gaels overcame Mullinavat on Saturday running out 1-14 to 0-13 winners securing a spot in the second senior semi-final next weekend against Ballyhale Shamrocks who themselves overcame the challenge of Clara on Sunday in Danesfort, the final score in that game was 1-19 to 0-17. This semi-final will be played next weekend and the final is fixed for Sunday Oct 27th.
On Saturday in the Michael Lyng Motors Hyundai Intermediate Championship Tullaroan overcame Young Irelands on a scoreline of 2-17 to 2-15 to secure a final berth while St Lachtain’s came up short against Thomastown, that game finishing 1-21 to 1-10. Both Tullaroan and Thomastown now have their sights fixed on the final which is down for decision on Sunday Oct 27th.
In the JJ Kavanagh & Sons Junior Championship, Conahy Shamrocks were awaiting the winners of Barrow Rangers and O’Loughlin Gaels and it was O’Loughlin Gaels who secured the win in Nowlan Park on Sunday to claim the county final spot, the final score in this game was 4-12 to 1-20.
