Wednesday 29th January 

“Getting work done in Office 365” – For Club Chairpersons, Secretaries, Treasurers and PRO’s.  

This module aims to help Club Officers use Office 365 more efficiently and effectively. The module covers: 
1. Signing into your Office 365 account 
2. Starting to use the Outlook Web App and Calendar 
3. Starting to use OneDrive 
4. Accessing and knowing where to get more information on using Office 365 Web Apps – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote 
5. Using Office 365 on your phone and other tablet devices 
6. Accessing resources and supports, e.g. Helpdesk and the GAA Learning Portal 

 

Wednesday 5th February 

“Creating a Safe Club” – For All Club Officers 

This interactive module is designed to create awareness for Club Officers of risk management and provide practical knowledge in how to create a safer club with the key objective of reducing accidents and potential insurance claims. The module covers: 
1. Identifying and managing risk in your club grounds and facilities 
2. Understanding the value of documentation  
3. Managing third-party contractors and events  
4. Introduction to the Safe Club Programme 
Navigating the insurance and claims process 
5. Using scenario-based information to bring topics alive 
6. Creating a safety culture 

 

Wednesday 19th February 

“Using the GAA Club Management System” – For Club Secretaries and Registrars 

This module aims to help Club Registrars and Secretaries use the GAA’s Club Membership System more efficiently and effectively. The module covers: 
1. Annual Club Update – The process for Club Administrators to ensure all Club information is accurate and complies with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 
2. Registrations via the Official GAA App – encouraging Club members to register and pay for their membership via the Official GAA app. 
3. Registering players and other members 
4. Player Injury Benefit Fund – registering teams 
5. Support – Guidance on how to complete any tasks using the official Club Membership System and App 

 

Wednesday 26th February 

“Doing things right – Good Governance in your GAA Club” – For Club Chairpersons, Secretaries, Treasurers and PRO’s 

This module aims to raise awareness among Club Officers of the GAA’s Governance Guide and its principles. The module covers: 
1. What good governance is and why it is important 
2. The principles of the GAA’s Governance Guide 
3. How to assess where your Club current is and what it should consider doing next
