Kilkenny come up short in the Junior Football Championship All-Ireland Final

The Kilkenny Footballers had an action packed weekend playing the All-Ireland Junior semi-final on Friday in Abbottstown where they claimed a 1-13 to 0-15 victory over London.   This win set the cats up with a spot in the All-Ireland Final as they bid to defend their All-Ireland title in a repeat of last year’s final as New York emerged victorious in the other semi-final against Warwickshire.  The final was the precursor to the Kerry/Derry game in Croke park on Sunday.

Kilkenny put in a solid performance against a strong New York side and a stoppage time point clinched the victory for New York 1-9 to 0-13.
